The research problem stems from the unique chains of transmission present in Imam al-Kalabadhi’s Bahr al-Fawa’id (known as Ma’ani al-Akhbar) that are absent from the Six Books, coupled with the author’s practice of recording isnads without ruling on their authenticity—a gap that hinders full scholarly utilization and has not yet been addressed in an independent study. Consequently, this study aims to examine these supplementary narrations (Zawa'id) against the Six Books to evaluate their overall status in terms of acceptance or rejection. To accomplish this goal, the researcher employed an inductive methodology to gather and analyze the targeted hadiths, followed by a critical-evaluative approach to scrutinize the chains and distinguish authentic narrations from flawed ones. The findings reveal a spectrum of hadith classifications ranging from authentic (Sahih) and good (Hasan) to slightly weak, severely weak, and fabricated (Mawdu'); all conclusions were rigorously grounded in the evaluations of authoritative critics and contextual indicators surrounding each narration.
